Con The Cons: Real-World Issues
Complaint Decent sound preferred 2026-02-22

> It’s a fairly bright room with lots of windows. > Mostly sports, news, streaming TV/movies. QM5K is barley acceptable and is this environment and use will likely not be good a QN90F is what you should be considering > Also prefer something with decent sound to eliminate the sound bar. doesn't exist outside of some Sony TV's with acoustic panel and even then that's not great either just barely better and usually tied to their OLED TV's which $$$$

Complaint Picture quality overblown 2026-01-02

Like the other comments have said, the QN90F but I think that their comments on the picture quality are a bit overblown. Yes, the matte coating will cause a decrease in picture quality but it still looks good IMO and I personally would take the hit in PQ for much better watchability though YMMV.

worth the price 2026-01-18

Samsung not having Dolby Vision is super lame but their higher end models have good enough to great HDR performance that it isn't *that* important IMO (at least not a deal breaker). I think getting the QN90F would be worth it especially as it's almost 50% off right now and it sounds like you want that matte display.

worth price jump 2026-01-18

I am between the 85 inch qn90f and the 85 inch hi-sense 85qd7qfm. Obviously the Samsung is going to be amazing. It’s a huge price gap though. I have some led lights in my room which the Samsung sounds perfect for. However no Dolby vision which I’ve never used but I hear is a pretty huge deal. I’m coming from a pretty bad 55 inch tv so I feel either will be amazing. I guess all around as someone that games and loves movies and can really take notice of a great picture Is the Samsung worth a massive price jump?
