I haven’t heard the Unveiled, but I very much prefer the Arya Stealth to the LCD-X. Better soundstage, more wow-factor. No eq needed although it responds well to it. More comfortable although not as solidly built as LCD-X.
HiFiMAN Arya
Quick take
HiFiMAN Arya reads best for home listeners. The clearest upside is sound quality and detail, especially for home listening. The main drawback is reliability issues, so it makes less sense for listeners with fit-sensitive ears. Overall, it lands as a strong buy.
HiFiMAN Arya is a high-end planar magnetic headphone line featuring Stealth Magnet technology and an ultra-thin diaphragm for low distortion and fast transient response.

Why This Verdict Reddit User Impression 3.8 / 5
Deeper Read
Reddit users are repeating a similar read across 10 separate discussion sources, not just one isolated thread. The upside keeps pointing back to sound quality and detail, but complaints around reliability issues are strong enough to shape the recommendation. That makes the buyer fit clearest for home listeners, not as a catch-all recommendation. So it comes across more as a home-listening audio pick than a category-defining favorite.

Pro The Pros: What Redditors Love
I owned both at the same time and ended up returning the LCD-X. I’d listen to the same passages of music and consistently heard more details in the Arya that were harder to distinguish in the LCD-X. I know that doesn’t specifically answer your question, but I consider the Arya Stealth a better headphone than the LCD-X. Also the LCD-X are heavy and could bring about a *different* kind of fatigue. HiFiMans are generally a bright leaning house sound.
Same price: Arya stealth vs Ananda unveilded Usually, with my budget and time I would wait for a local vender to provided a public demo the Ananda UN but that would always take few months. And specifially in my country and at this time of year. New Arya stealth and Ananda UN both got a decent discount (to \~$500). In the past, I have listen to the Arya a few time and while it was sibilent (I don't like) yet extremely brilliant, technical and grand sounding which I love very much but it was close to $2000 at the
At your budget, I would pick Hifiman Arya Stealth.
I had and sold the HD800s. It is excellent in many ways but the higher end Hifimans from Arya and up outclasses it in most genres imo. Have had Arya Stealth now for a few years, and it is better as an allrounder imo. It is almost as wide as the Hd800s but sounds grander, and it has the ability to place sounds both far away, and close up. It is also much, much better in the bass than Hd800s and takes eq way better. Arya organic is quite similar to Stealth but more v-shaped and for me it became close to sibilant
The he6se v2 is great in many ways but I just can’t with the comfort. It is also not as great as an allrounder as some of the higher end egg shaped Hifimans. For 750€ total, you could get an Arya Stealth and a suitable dac amp combo. More comfortable and technically superior in some ways. Or you could check out the XV which is a bit warmer in tuning but not as technical. Wither way I recommend you spend as much as possible on the headphone and less on the dac/amp. If you insist on the He6-route, I would rec
My favorite headphones of all time, and I used to own the 800 S, Arya Stealth and Focal Clear MG.
Aune AR5000, Arya Stealth, or an R70x. The Arya may push your budget a bit, but it's what I use and can vouch that it's the best in my collection for casual music and very good for gaming. The Aune is great and comfortable, good tone and good soundstage and imaging. The R70x is stupid light and comfy, excellent soundstage and cheat code imaging, with a hint
Con The Cons: Real-World Issues
I have Arya Stealth and have had LCD-X, Focal clear and Hd800s. Arya is great for most but metal is a weak point. For this I now use the LCD-2C which is smoother and warmer (and smoother than LCD-X). Arya is still better at everything including comfort but excluding physical build quality.
LCD-X after Arya Stealth for metal? Hey folks. I currently am using an Arya Stealth for metal (doom, thrash, black, heavy etc.). I like it a lot but I find it fatiguing after an hour or so. I have EQd down some of the highs but it hasn't helped terribly. Would an LCD-X be an upgrade for my use case? Would you recommend something different, maybe another Hifiman or Focal or somethjng else aoeuns 1000 usd budget? Many thanks in advance. So my Hifiman Arya Stealth broke down and after fighting with Hifiman's clueless repair service for few weeks, I received a laughable quote from them that I won't be paying. Now I need to get a new pair of headphones but it's also obvious that I'm done with these Chinese con men and won't buy anything from Hifiman anymore or any other Chinese brand unless it's around 100 USD. Any other recommendations in less than 1000 USD price range? I can also go above 1000 if it's worth it. I mainly use the headphones as daily
