Complaint don't fit well 2026-06-11

Went from AZ80 and XM5 to budget Sony C510 I was recently in the market for new buds again since I lost one of my A40 :-( I got the Sony XM5 first. Sound is fine (maybe slightly better than A40, hard to tell really). ANC I couldn't tell the difference. But for some reason the XM5 are just too slippery and don't stay in my ears, so I would have to constantly touch and adjust them, which was really annoying. So I returned them and I got the AZ80 on a good special. I think sound was even better

Technics AZ80/AZ100 owners: Advice needed for ear tips I tried the following in store for fit/seal to my ears: AZ80: * L size is smaller than ideal, tricky to get tight seal. App's seal test suggests to upsize to XL. * XL size is easy to get tight seal. Pressure on my (smaller) left ears is a bit too much. App's seal test sometimes suggest to downsize left tips to L, but it'll compromise consistent seal. AZ100: * L size is smaller than ideal. Surprisingly, it is easier to achieve tight seal than the L tips on

reliability issues 2026-04-06

Technics AZ80/100. They're not as comfortable as the MTW4 but the sound quality is comparable and I haven't had any reliability issues with the AZ80 where as I've gone through two MTW4s since Christmas and am still waiting on my warranty claim for the second pair.

wide soundstage and excellent separation 2026-03-02

Picked up Technics AZ80 for $60 on Ebay I lucked out on these (thank you, Ebay). I just opened the box and they looked like new. The tips already on them fit me perfectly. THe soundstage was wide and the separation was excellent. I heard details on them I had never heard before. There were harmonies I did not know existed. My main priority is sound, I really have not used the other features (yet). This is, overall, the best pair of earbuds I have ever had. Technics AZ80 Technics AZ80
