Fiio ft1 is a pretty consensus pick for great closed backs under 300$. Over that you can get into DCA, the new meze pair, and even bokeh but yea under 300 it’s the ft1. Check em out, if you’re open to buying used I’m actually selling a pair rn on avexchange but either way theyre a great pair of headphones highly recommend
I can say that the DT 770 pros are better for video editing, serious gaming and very comfortable for long sessions. That being said the sound profile is not a fun or honestly all that enjoyable. I end up having to EQ them to adjust the treble or I get a headache. Most streamers get them because it became trendy more than anything. The FiiO FT1s have a much more enjoyable sound and are fine for most uses.
Out of the box I was happy with my Fiio FT1s, but after playing a little in Peace EQ it is much better sounding in my nonprofessional opinion. Super happy with my decision for these, but I do think they need EQ.

First of all Hello, I've been looking for a new pair of headphones for a while now. About 10 days ago, I bought Fiio FT1s from a store. I have to admit, the sound is really soft and warm. However, the ear pads sit on top of my earlobe. In other words, the inner diameter of the earpads is small. What should I do ? Should I sell them and buy another model?
