Had both brands and honestly the Legion Pro 5 is solid - better build quality and thermals in my experience. Acer's been hit or miss for me, sometimes great sometimes not so much The Legion also tends to have better keyboard feel and the cooling solution is usually more robust. For the same specs I'd lean Legion but check reviews for the specific models since each generation can be different

pro 5i does have better cooling and larger display is also more immersive too the g14 display is still glossy but the legion is a fair bit glossier. but if youre not near any super bright lights it should be fine for both you could kinda go for the pro 5i+gaming handheld id trust the pro 5i more long term (ram is replaceable, generally a bit more upgrade
