The strongest feedback for Meze 109 Pro centers on comfort and fit and bass and clarity.
Meze 109 Pro fits your needs. Similarly bright, detailed sound, extremely comfortable and well made.
I have the Meze 109 Pro, for an open back it has good bass and treble and doesn’t muddy the mids. The comfort is also next level. I have thought about what an upgrade would be and I don’t know. It’s diminishing returns or a specific sound signature at this point.
Look at the Meze 105 AER or the Meze 105 Silva, maybe they are better. I have the Meze 109 Pro, which are definitely better than the DT 1990 Mark 1, which I also have. However, these are not studio headphones, but hi-fi music headphones that are warmly tuned. They sound detailed, but not as analytical as the DT 1990.
I have the Meze 109 Pro, which also feels like cheating at BF 6. 😆 I couldn't even locate opponents so accurately at my DT 1990. Presumably, there aren't many headphones that have such a wide stage. These are extreme all-rounders, extremely good at music, film and gaming.
The Meze 109 Pro might be a good bet. Not as detailed as the Arya but not that far off. Richer sound but not overly done. Very comfortable and seemingly durable. And attractive if that matters.
