If you like a smoother, warmer, and more relaxed kind of sound, you can easily go with the HD 599 at that price. It’s a great headphone. The HD 560S is brighter and more analytical in its sound, and it’s technically the better headphone, in my opinion — but it really depends on what you want or prefer. It’s less about the price and more about the difference in sound signature. Choose what you prefer rather than automatically going with the cheaper option.

I feel like the mids are a bit more mushy compared to the FT1 and overall they sound very close despite being open back. My reason for upgrading was because I wanted to experience true high le
