Best For
- You want budget gaming performance at a strong price.
- You have good return and warranty coverage against a bad unit.
- You can live with some fan noise and may repaste or upgrade parts.
Quick take
The Acer Nitro V15 splits its owners. Buyers who got a good unit at the right price are genuinely happy — it runs games smoothly and one owner reports two trouble-free years. But the weight of feedback leans cautionary: rattling, full-throttle fans, overheating that survives a repaste, and hardware that fails are all common themes. It can be a smart budget gaming buy, but the unit lottery and noise are real risks to price in.
Acer Nitro V 15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop in the Nitro line, typically configured with modern Intel or AMD processors, GeForce RTX 40-series graphics, and an FHD high-refresh IPS-class display.

Buying a new SSD for my Acer Nitro V 15 - ANV15-52 Laptop The laptop came with its 512 GB nvme SSD, its not enough to store multiple games like GOWR and other AAA titles. Acer nitro v15 hinges problem I bought an Acer Nitro V (ANV15-41) in January, and I've started noticing an issue with the hinges. Whenever I open the lid, I hear a slight crackling/creaking noise, mostly from the right hinge. Also, after I set the screen at a certain angle and remove my hand, the lid drops down slightly (around 1-2 mm). There's no physical damage, and the laptop is only about 2 months old. Is this normal behavior for this model, or should I get it checked at a service center while it's still un
My 1 year experience with Acer Nitro V15 I bought my laptop in March 2025. I've been using it daily for 6+ hours a day for school and gaming. At first I really liked the laptop. The first problem is the battery. I know that it's a gaming laptop, but 2-3 hours of battery life when using Word is unacceptable. My 20 year old

Quick answers to the main review, complaints, buyer-fit, and comparison questions shoppers ask before choosing Acer Nitro V15.
It can be. Owners who got a healthy unit are pleased with the price-to-performance — one paid $600 and is very happy, others report smooth gaming and even two trouble-free years. The catch is that experiences vary unit to unit.
It's a recurring complaint. Owners report fans running full throttle from startup, GPU fans that rattle and vibrate non-stop, and fan-vent rattle noise. If quiet operation matters, factor this in.
Some owners report it does. One still overheats after a repaste and cleaning, and another finds the bundled Nitro V app alone spikes temperatures. Good thermal maintenance helps but doesn't fix every case.
Reliability is the biggest concern. While some owners report years without issues, others had units stop working and a motherboard Wi-Fi fault that recurred after a warranty repair. Buying with solid warranty coverage is wise.
Both are weak points. The 512GB SSD fills quickly with modern games, and the stock display's color gamut is low — one owner found a panel upgrade well worth the cost.
One owner who weighed both rated the Nitro the better-built option, noting the Victus isn't known for durability — though that's a single comparison.
