I was in a very similar boat to you, having only used a Windows PC since school (well over 16 years now) and I recently got the MacBook Air m4 base model (Barely, barely, kinda blue colour) and I have literally spent more of my time on this than I have on my PC. It's just a joy to use, the weight, the trackpad, the audio quality and the built in headphone DAC; even the bloody keyboard are just exceptional. Sounds like glazing, but especially if you're already in the Apple ecosystem it's just wonderful
If you wanna play more games and stuff go for the legion if you are more work focused get the macbook it’s more portable and better battery
Macbook M1 pro vs Macbook NEO - Can't decide, first macbook ever I can get Macbook Neo 512gb version for around 650e or I can get an Macbook M1 pro 14" 2021 for 680e. Battery life of Pro is 96% I will be using it mostly for light work, excel sheets, 20-30 tabs open and just for browsing/watching movies. I care about reliability and how long it will last me, but nice screen and better build is making me consider M1 but newness and the design is moving me towards Neo. Its a tough choice, I am guessing there isn'
advice my little sister will be starting college in the fall and is asking for a macbook. after researching, it seems like the macbook air 15" will be the best fit, but buying directly from apple is not in my family's budget. I don't know much about older models and how much life they will have left. I want to make sure it's reliable throughout her college career, but also can't drop 1300 on it. should I look into buying older models? are refurbished macbooks any count? what do you guys recommend? macbook air 15"
Lately I've been navigating through my partner's iPhone a lot. I hate it. It feels super unintuitive, and clunky. I especially despise that the notif and unitilies menu are not in a single scroll down. It's funny because I have a MacBook, and MacOs is amazing to use.
Macbook or gaming laptop?! Hi, I'm going to university next year and I need a laptop but I don't know which one to pick... Apple and gamint laptops each have their own pro's and con's. I want to be able to game on it but light games like Minecraft with shaders at my friend's house because i have a gaming desktop at home but I also need a long battery and all of that for around €900. I've found some pretty good deals on secondhand sites for MacBooks or gaming laptops. Why MacBook: - long batterylife - Last a long

Wouldn’t it be the other way around for ram? I’ve only used school Chromebooks but they would freeze when opening chrome or browsing the web. MacOS has pretty good ram management. How is this budget Mac targeted towards people who only upgrade once every 10 years? A MacBook is certainly going to last longer than a Chromebook. As for storage, word docs and pdfs don’t really take up too much storage (files K-12 students would use) The MacBook also uses like the A18 which is comparable to an M1 chip which is bett

I think apple charges $800 for the repair and that way you know you are getting genuine parts, id do that instead of third party. Mini-LED displays arent cheap.
Hellooo! I’m starting grad school this fall and am looking for a laptop that last me 4-5 year. I currently have a 2020 MacBook however it’s quite slow and has a tendency to crash. I am wondering if I should work on getting the MacBook refurbished or simply just buy a new laptop. I will need something that will be easily able to run R, SPSS, etc., supports external monitor use, and will just run the course. What do folks recommend? What laptops have you had good luck with? Thank you in advance! The Form LAPTOP QU
