Lenovo Legion (Series)
Quick take
For budget gamers, Lenovo Legion (Series) makes the strongest case on Reddit. Buyers keep coming back to strong value for the money, especially for gaming and all-round use. The main drawback is reliability issues, so it makes less sense for buyers who need dependable daily reliability. That leaves it looking like a niche fit.
Lenovo Legion is a widely referenced gaming-laptop lineup that spans multiple models and performance tiers. This series entry captures discussion where users mention “Legion” in general—usually as a reliable all-round choice for gaming plus everyday productivity—without specifying an exact model.

Buyers repeatedly like strong value for the money, but the recurring hesitation is still reliability issues. That makes the buyer fit clearest for budget gamers, not as a catch-all recommendation. Skinned up Legion Pro 7i I got the Amazon Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 255hx 5070ti 2tb storage model. I was reluctant at first as I have never seen this sku. But it's legit. $1890 the deal of a lifetime. It's a monster. This will be my new daily driver. I tested a bunch of laptops for 2025 and the 7i and Pro 7i and my favorite. Highly recommend this laptop. I slapped an ArmorSuit skin on it to make it a little more unique. Amazon Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 Amazon Legion Pro 7i Gen 10
Legion's the premium line so you get better build quality and cooling which matters for longevity. LOQ is their budget gaming brand - still decent but corners get cut on materials and thermals If you're just casual gaming the LOQ will do fine but if you're pushing AAA titles regularly the Legion will handle it better long term
Im quite surprised with the legion being overpriced. I have been working as a technician and laptop repairs for years now, and I have to say Legion is really is the best interms of durability and components quality (they really think a lot about longevity) but my own laptop is a Rog zephyrus G14 with rtx 4080, and its been running great overall. And considering the price, you pay less for extra 50% gpu performance, 50% extra VRAM, as well as top high end spec as well. Interms of durability, I would say Zephyrus
Sold my Legion 7i Gen 10 5070 So sad but I got laid off and I had to do what I had to do. I read a lot here and elsewhere about future proofing with at least the 5070ti or the 5080 and I tend to agree but I loved the 5070. Best laptop I ever owned. The OLED was fantastic. I never had a single issue. I only owned it five months but it was great. I'll be back someday. For certain. Legion 7i Gen 10 Legion 7i Gen 10

Thermal throttle? Hey guys just got a Lenovo legion 7i pro a month ago love it and I downloaded everything from videos that showed how too set it up. I used the Nvidia overlay to see temps and I mostly play fighting games so on that front everything look good but I just started playing mgs3 delta and silent hill 2 remake. The temps for the GPU jumped real high too around steady 98 degrees and I noticed the fans are a lot louder. The game runs fine, I didn't notice anything abnormal but I found out that those temps

Legion 9 Cooling Pad? Hello friends, I just got my legion 9 ultra 9 275HX 5090 64gb ram yesterday. I've heard that this Gen of legion pro 7 and legion 9 don't really like cooling pads and function best on a flat tanle/surface. However, most of my laptop use is on my bed and since I don't want it sucking up all the dust and debris in the world (like my previous msi ge66 raider did), I am asking around to see if anyone has a rather positive experience with them and what the thermals were. Any specific brands or gene
FINALLY BOUGHT MY DREAM LAPTOP!!! 😭 To my fellow Redditors, I hope this finds you well. I am somewhat emotional as I write this. I have been through quite a lot over the last year or so (really the last 3 years but this past year has been the worst by far), but I've made it through somehow with my perseverance and staying dedicated to my career, my daughter, my dog, and myself. Today, I did something that I never thought would be possible.. I purchased my dream build. A Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10, packed with

The Legion series has been pretty solid in my experience, though I haven't touched the 5070 model specifically. Build quality on the 7i line is usually decent - not the absolute best but definitely not flimsy either 🤔 For the games you mentioned you're probably gonna be more than fine performance-wise, those aren't super demanding titles. The OLED display might actually be overkill for strategy games but hey, everything's gonna look crisp 😂 I'd maybe check some reviews on the thermals though since that's w

Hi, I’m deciding between these two laptops and would like some advice. Use case: gaming, 2D/3D graphics, video editing, and some Unity projects. Portability isn’t important (desk/couch use), but I really like the ROG Zephyrus G14 design and form factor. However, I’ve read mixed opinions about its thermals and long-term reliability, which matters to me since I want to keep this laptop for 5–6 years. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is cheaper and seems more reliable with better cooling, but I like the design less, and I’
Since you are going to need powerful CPU and GPU for both video editing and gaming, I would recommend this **[Lenovo Legion Pro 7i](https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legion-Pro-7i-GamePass/dp/B0FRNC2NG9/?tag=lonerim2-20)** because of the following: **Specs:** * Screen: 16" WQXGA * CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX * GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 ti * Ram: 32GB RAM * Storage: 1TB SSD. **Why I am recommending it:** * Great heat management which is the main concern to have with most high end gaming laptops. * Premium
I bought a Lenovo Legion, my brother got a Victus. His Victus had severe hardware failure within just 3 weeks and constant memory issues. Given that experience, I'd go Lenovo all the way! I've always had a good experience with their laptops. He now has a Lenovo LOQ and it's been fantastic.
dont even look at acer or msi. both are garbage with poor build quality, shit thermals and low powered gpu or powersuply. Go lenovo legion if u want oled its best value. loq its also a nice, if too expensive asus rog will be decent

Lenovo legion 5 pro stopped working So my Lenovo legion 5 pro just died last week with the same problem as others. The power button turns on but the screen as well as the fans aren't working. Generally, it is not a good idea to buy Legion 2021 (R7 5800H, R5 5600H) due to their motherboard problems. RAM upgrade for Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 Intel with RTX 5080? Hi all, I recently got this laptop for 3D scanning and CAD when I need to work on something that I can't bring back to my usual workstation.
