Skinned up Legion Pro 7i I got the Amazon Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 255hx 5070ti 2tb storage model. I was reluctant at first as I have never seen this sku. But it's legit. $1890 the deal of a lifetime. My Legion is cooked fam. GPU overheated itself to failure and the shop says it's irreparable, how best to proceed? It is a Legion Pro 7 16IRX8 Type 82WR They tested it at board level to locate the fault and it was the GPU unfortunately. Which can't be replaced without replacing whole motherboard I'm told. I have been working as a technician and laptop repairs for years now, and I have to say Legion is really is the best interms of durability and components quality (they really think a lot about longevity) but my own laptop is a Rog zephyrus G14 with rtx 4080, and its been running great overall. I'm currently running a Lenovo leigion LOQ 15IAX9I (i5, A530M, 16GB). Yeah ive not got the best specs but my cpu can throttle pretty easily reaching that 100°C limit. I've done some undervolting on the CPU (getting it to -150mV where its full stable, -170mV is pretty unstable) which decreased my temps and increased peformance a little.
