No, definitely a big difference between the qm6k and qm7k. If you are buying for casual watching tv for family room get the qm6k, but if you are a little more serious about movie watching and playing video games get the qm7k it definitely is brighter, has overall better picture quality. Specular high lights, color depth. Contrast is alot better. Qm6k is a little dim, a little flat, less Specular high lights, less pop, its still a great set for its price point.
I personally would go with the QM7K. It has a far better local dimming system, with deeper contrast, wider color volume, and brighter HDR highlights.

Out of those options, I’d say QM7K is the price:performance sweet spot. Bravia has better processing and motion handling, but you pay a big premium for it. An Apple TV 4K or NVIDIA Shield Pro is a cost effective way to reduce the processing gap if most of what you watch can be streamed through those.
Theater Klipsch/TCL QM7K 85" First time post on here. Just installed the TCL QM7k 85in. I'm pretty impressed so far. Having OLED, Plasma and LED. The mini LED is in a class of its own. The Klipsch 5.2.2 is powered by an Onyko TX Nr7100. I have yet to set up the Dirac Live and have tuned Db's by ear for now. This is the start to almost completion of the Theater/ Game room. It was noticeably brighter and the colors popped more and there’s better contrast. The room I have the set in is south facing and has plenty of sunlight and the tv is more than bright enough. I'm working with them on a settlement for the TV, so I've been doing my research to investigate what a currently available equivalent would be. The QM7K is by far the better TV. The QN90F is the only really good Samsung MiniLED, and the QN80F is the bare minimum of what you would want in a MiniLED. The QM7K is brighter, has deeper black levels, and has better contrast.

The QM7K 55” goes on sale for $600 every couple months. I’d recommend that one. I owned them both I first bought the 6K pro on the week of Thanksgiving and after a few weeks decided it lacked too much detail in darker scenes and felt the tv lacked brightness so I returned it and got the 7K which is brighter and also has better color.

Bright room, hard choice Canada Looking at LG B5 for a seemingly nice deal, 55 inch at 90. A 65 inch would be nice in this space also but the deal is 1200 on that model, pushing the budget. Problem is this is a fairly bright space with big high windows. I'm rationalizing that the TV is used more at night and OLEDs just seem better to me. I returned a 65" Bravia 8 OLED for an 85" qm7k, and it's brighter but not as easy on the eyes. I kind of feel like I should have done an 83" B5, but for now I'm staying with the qm7k. The scale is definitely awesome. Just sucks a lot of content has to be upscaled and doesn't look as good . 4k content looks great though

QM7K has far more dimming zones, better contrast and blacks so definitely worth the extra if you can afford it.
QM7K is a much better tv no matter what room you're in. Had both and kept the QM7K, it was just night and day.
I have the tcl qm7k and it is phenomenal. I also use my friends lg oled alot so i have some thoughts. Unless the oled is only 20% more for the same screen size i would absolutely not do it. The mini led does 95% of what an oled does for my eyes. The contrast is incredible. Most of the time it looks oled

I've had a 75" QM7K since November and while there are a lot great aspects of the tv the motion handling and upscaling were horrendous. I did the newest V321 via usb a little over a month ago and I was finally enjoying this tv! Turning on Dynamic acceleration fixed the judder, and ghosting issue, and turning on super resolution made the upscaling like 80% better. Well that lasted about a month or so! Over the past week the judder, and ghosting h
I just bought the QM7K. The picture is great except for one very small annoyance. The tv has a smaller viewing angle than the reviewers have reported. Because of where I sit the bright whites on the left become somewhat dingy passing to the right of center. Moving towards the center those dingy whites become whiter.
98 QM7K but get the extended warranty. Be prepared to make adjustments as it’s not great picture quality out of the box. If you want the easiest choice go with either of the other two as they are solid out of the box. I was considering the 85” Bravia 9 but I went with the 98 QM7K in my media room to see what all the hype was. It’s not my best tv in the house but the screen size is worth it and with a few tweaks it’s pretty good.

TCL QM7K Series 4K QD-Mini LED I'm looking into purchasing a new TV, and I've seen a lot of good things about this TV but I also have seen some iffy, things about this TV. Talked to someone at Best Buy about this TV they had on demo and he said that he would prefer it and he likes it. Just wanted to see what y'all's opinion was on this TV for those who have it. 98 QM7K but get the extended warranty. Be prepared to make adjustments as it’s not great picture quality out of the box. If you want the easiest choice go with either of the other two as they are solid out of the box. I was considering the 85” Bravia 9 but I went with the 98 QM7K in my media room to see what all the hype was. It’s not my best tv in the house but the screen size is worth it and with a few tweaks it’s pretty good.
QM7K has far more dimming zones, better contrast and blacks so definitely worth the extra if you can afford it.
QM7K is a much better tv no matter what room you're in. Had both and kept the QM7K, it was just night and day.
I have the tcl qm7k and it is phenomenal. I also use my friends lg oled alot so i have some thoughts. Unless the oled is only 20% more for the same screen size i would absolutely not do it. The mini led does 95% of what an oled does for my eyes. The contrast is incredible. Most of the time it looks oled
From what I have seen (I’m not an expert) everyone will recommend the TCL QM7K in that price range. Hopefully others will chime in!
I did not like my 98 QM7K for motion and upscaling. It’s bright but relies on people focusing on that. And for whatever reason it lost vibrancy hard after about 20 deg off angle.
