Like best bang for the buck 2026-05-24
Best bang for the buck would be a tcl qm8k (or 7 or 6 for lower cost).
Like better option in sunlight 2026-05-24
I have a QM8K and I absolutely love it. My living room has a lot of sunlight so I think it was a better option over the oled.
Like prefer TCL over LG 2026-05-06
Avoid the LG QNED, LG doesn’t make miniled tvs as good as Samsung, Sony or TCL. Look at the TCL QM8K.
Like less preferred than 98 QM8K 2026-04-25
I got the 98 qm8k 2 weeks ago, absolutely love it. Think I like it more than my 83 G4 OLED
Like no issues with sports 2026-04-25
I own a QM8K and have had 0 issues with sports, through the Apple TV, motion low.
Like better picture brightness 2026-04-25
> TV & movies, hockey, Sony is better for this usage > but I wonder if having better 100% picture brightness on the QM8K is worthwhile for a bright living room. define bright also Bravia 7 has no anti reflective Bravia 9 does though
Like bright enough for large windows 2026-04-25
I just got the qm8k for a bright room with 4 large windows that used to overpower our tv. It has solved that problem. We were also looking at Samsung and Sony but the extra cost isn’t worth it unless you are very very very fussy
Complaint not worth higher price 2026-04-10
The QM8K was much higher in price and not worth the difference in picture quality.
Like huge following for its dimming algorithms and black levels 2026-04-06
Multiple Best Buy associates claiming Hisense 100" U8QG (2025) > TCL QM8K 100". Are they right? I'm looking to pull the trigger on a 100-inch monster for my setup and I've had three different Best Buy employees tell me the new 2025 Hisense U8QG is the clear winner over the TCL QM8K. On paper, the Hisense specs are wild-5,000 nits and 165Hz-but I know the TCL QM8 has a huge following for its dimming algorithms and black levels. Is the 2025 Hisense processing actually better this year, or is this just "floor floor
Complaint Dead pixel issue 2026-03-19
TCL QM8K vs Sony Bravia 7 - glare handling vs upscaling (return decision) Hey everyone, I currently have a TCL QM8K, but I'll be returning it due to a dead pixel issue. While I'm at it, I'm trying to decide whether to go for another QM8K or switch to a Sony Bravia 7. My main use case is watching movies and TV shows (Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube). I don't watch live TV or sports, and gaming is very occasional. One of the main reasons I originally chose the QM8K is my room setup - I have a south-facing window j
Complaint inferior picture quality 2026-03-14
what do you prefer more for that use case, high refresh rate or better picture quality? From what i know about those two models that's pretty much the main difference. Do you have a console or pc that can hit those higher numbers at 4k? The Qm5k CAN do 144hz but only at 1440p or 1080p so unless you're dead set on high refresh at 4k the Qm5k will look as good as your Qm6k since it uses the same panel tech except for the 144hz at 4k. I'd personally just go with the 5k since I would totally notice the inferior picture
Like good value 2026-02-27
Watching this from my 65" TCL QM8. Seriously good value TVs for a low price.
Like better overall processing 2026-01-22
I went with the tcl because even though the Hisense looks punchier the overall processing of the qm8k and the built quality and sound and everything is better.
